About SLODOG
SLODOG is a conglomeration of California Central Coast dog-loving individuals dedicated to responsible dog ownership. We aim to promote the training and exhibition of dogs in a variety of disciplines; to promote and maintain among the group a warm friendship and the highest quality of sportsmanship; to educate the public as to the care and proper training of dogs as pets, companions, and working members of the community; to sponsor public events that demonstrate to the community the benefits of dog obedience training; to hold meetings to plan activityies and conduct group business; and to conduct NADAC and UKC licensed obedience, conformatin and agility trials.
Whether you have a purebred dog or an All-American, we're sure both you and your dog will find a cozy spot at SLODOG! Visit our activity pages -- Agility, Conformation, SLODOG Events, Flyball, Herding, Obedience, and Therapy Dog -- for information about our club's many areas of interest.

Monthly Meetings
SLODOG members gather for a general meeting at 7 p.m. on the second Monday of every month. Most often we meet at San Luis Obispo's Petco (805-596-0836) in the Community Room, which is in the back of the store (thanks, Petco, for use of the space). Sometimes we meet at a club member's house, usually in the North County. Check the Calendar at right for specific dates and meeting locations. For Petco meetings, please bring your own chair -- or be prepared to sit on the floor!
A few times a year, the monthly meeting is replaced by a playday at Canine Academy in Atascadero. Skim our Calendar page for dates and times.

SLODOG Events
Our club sponsors several events -- some open to the public, some for club members only -- each year. Informal "events" include our Saturday run-thoughs: members gather at an agreed-upon local park to practice Obedience, Flyball and Agility. Formal events include our annual Agility Trial and our annual Obedience Trial. See our Events page for more information.

Complete our Membership Form and mail it to the address listed on the form as well as at the top of this page. If you don't have Adobe Acrobat Reader, which you need to read the form, you can download the Reader for free from the Adobe web site.
The nominal membership fee goes toward our members-only monthly newsletter, among other things.

Our Officers
SLODOG's officers donate their time to help each of our specialty groups organize their events and activities and interplay with the rest of our dog club. They are also fundamental to organizing our annual Dog Days Event.
New officers traditionally are selected at our annual holiday fun day and general meeting. Our current officers and activity chairpersons are...
